My first book
Writing has always been my secret wish. I always thought it was a dream that I would come true “one day when I had enough time.” Then the year 2020 happened and suddenly the whole world stopped. For me, the bright side of that year was that I finally had enough free time. One day I took my laptop and started to write… And I could never stop again. My first book “Falling” was finished in three months.
This story is fiction. But not completely. The main heroine of the book shares almost the same past with me. I say “almost”, because the characters of her mother, brother, and ex-boyfriend have been changed to make it easier for her to leave her life in Serbia. However, some very personal moments and real feelings from my life are among these pages.

Who is Jaye Lena?
My name is Jaye Lena. I’m 34 years old, mother of two incredible children and wife of a lovely and very supportive husband. I graduated from the Faculty of Economics and then worked in a bank for a few years. When I was 27, I got married and got pregnant.
Then I made one of the bravest and best decisions in my life: I left my job at a bank and decided to become a photographer. Today I have a successful photo studio, I do wonderful and creative job and I have enough time to be dedicated to my family.
Photography made me happy but I would be lying if I said it was one of those things I wanted to do every day for the rest of my life. That thing that moves all butterflies in my stomach. I found that thing in writing.
I realized that writing is what fulfills me most of all. I have such a clear feeling that I’m born to write wonderful love stories. The way I feel while creating them is something priceless. I hope that you will recognize that love and passion on every page of my book.
